That's funny in a sad way.
We used to joke that as weekend DIY homebuilders we were simply creating the
most amusing mouse entertainment arenas our intelligence could muster.
I once listened helplessly as a packrat laboriously hauled a marble up the
small space between Styrofoam and 2X4 nailers almost to the top of the
peaked roof/ceiling in our bedroom. Just as I was about to fall asleep the
little bastard lost his grip on whatever prize he had and it rolled and
bounced all the way to the bottom. Reminded me of a pachinko machine. Twenty
minutes later he found the lost marble and began hes annoying journey all
over again.
