The cooling fans come on at high speed at too low a engine temp when the
engine is not overheating like at 170 F. They are not on initially on a
cold start. Is this a relay issue or erratic grounding issue. I've
looked at and cleaned the grounds near left headlight. The grounds
looked in great shape. I looked at the cooling fan relays (in front of
fans) last summer. They did not looked corroded and I put a dab of
dielectric grease on terminals. No change in status of problem
Another issue, maybe related maybe not is my air-conditioner compressor
won't stay engaged due to some erratic electrical problem. I had the
the R-12 pressure checked and it was fine but the compressor clutch
engagement is erratic due to some electrical glitch. A local mechanic
who checked the R-12 pressure said he couldn't look at the electrical
since he did not have the electrical schematics. I have a Peugeot
electrical manual but hardly know where to begin.
No, I don't need the AC now but this is a carry over problem from summer
and if I don't get it fixed for my daughter I need to buy a car is fewer
glitches for next summer.
