Have you reached Jim? 763.788.8220 You will need to charge the
battery quite a bit to get it to run for long if the alternator isn't
charging at all. If you can get whoever jumps you to keep connected
with their car running at 2000 rpm or better for ten minutes or so
you should be able to get ten or fifteen minutes driving out of the
battery. The longer you can keep the jumper charging the farther you
will get before the battery dies again. When stopped, disconnect a
battery cable to keep the alternator or whatever is shorted from
draining the battery further. If you really flatten the battery and
it freezes, it will not recover.
