Gil,
I'll trade you all the home electrical wire that I
found in an Audi I bought to fix-up for my wife! It
was holding the radiator fan shroud/motor to the
radiator, there was some twisted holding the *datsun*
clutch release bearing to the clutch release fork, and
last, but not least, there was a 10" or so piece tied
around the neck of the oil pump pick-up tube. What
was it doing around the neck of the oil pump pick-up
tube, you might ask? Well it was wrapped around the
neck in order to secure the swatch of fiberglass cloth
that was acting as a strainer over the mouth of the
pick-up tube. If I can find the fiberglass cloth, you
can have that as well in trade for the socket!
Seriously! I'll take the socket! I broke several
tools yesterday wrenching on a Volvo 850, so I can
always use some strong tools. I broke a 13mm wrench,
not at the crow's foot or the box section, but in the
middle!!! I was double wrenching it (had the box
section of another wrench in the open part of the
broken wrench in order to double or triple the torque
I could apply to the fastener. The wrench snapped
right in the middle along what looks to be some sort
of forge line. I also twisted the square drive part
of an extension off on the same bolt-the lower
balljoint pinch bolt which was corroded to the
steering knuckle from being exposed to salt water-the
car came from Florida.)
Peugeot content #1 I love Peugeots! And Peugeot
content #2-Hey, I remembered to remove Gil's addy from
the to line and replace it with the Peugeot list addy!
And #3, as Gil suggested, I am trying to "top this!"

Ben Pender
