I love Peugeot 505s. The chassis are great but the engines aren't.
Sorry guys. I've gone through too many XN6 heads (cracks, head
gaskets) and having worked at a Peugeot repair shop years ago, the
gas-turbo heads are even worse. Which got me thinking, what would be a
good, fairly modern, 4-cyl engine to swap into a 505 while retaining
the 4-spd auto box?. RWD toyota, nissan, porsche 924, bmw 3 series,
OnOnOnbenz C class? I'm thinking 80's 90's vintage. Any ideas? Just dreaming....
