Hi Ken, I had a similar problem with my 87 STI 505. I thought it was some
kind of leak under the door seal and went to great lengths trying to seal
it. Eventually I discovered the problem was actually water leaking behind
the door panel because the plastic sheet stuck to the door didn't cover all
the openings in the door frame, if you know what I mean. Perhaps you could
take off the door liner and see what state the plastic sheeting is in?
Cheers
Richard

Subject: [Peugeot-L] 84 505 sedan leaking
My 84 505 STI sedan is taking in water from, it appears, just behind
the front door hinge on the driver's side. It looks as if it makes a
trail originating near the weather stripping just behind the hinge
and, on a good rainy day, makes a considerable puddle on the driver's
side floor.
A while back I pulled the speaker panel and, I think, cleaned out the
drain hoses and their respective cavity. Is there some other method
or trick that I should use to unclog what is clogged?
If someone could email me the specific procedure for cleaning or
unclogging the side drain on this 505 I would be very appreciative.
I have an air compressor with attachments that fit in most hoses.
Thanks,
Ken
