Tell her she's full of it. As long as you use a quality plug of the
proper size and heat range, you'll be fine. (Though I've heard some
older cars don't like platinums). Didn't some Mi16's come with
Champions?
The only vehicle I have that cares about sparkplugs is my NSU Wankel
Spider. I have to use a Beru plug because the electrode pokes into the
little tiny hole in the rotor housing.
