For Sale is my 1989 Peugeot 505 V-6 with almost
94,000 actual miles color white outside and
interior burgundy. I am asking $5000.00 for the
car. I will describe the vehicle the best I can
in segments. I do strongly recommend that you
view the car and drive it yourself to make your
own judgments. Keep in mind this is a used
vehicle and it is kind of hard to describe to the
last details. Here in Puerto Rico the weather is
around 85 to 92 degrees F in summer and the rest
of the year is 79 to 85 degrees F, we don’t have
winter here therefore no problem with snow or
salt. I will be more than happy to coordinate a
time where we can meet let the interested person
inspect, drive and ask question about the car.
About the vehicle mechanical, it runs and drives
like a charm. The engine is smooth and strong
without noises. The engine oil and filter is
replaced every 3,000 miles. The transmission
shift flawlessly with no slips or jolts and the
oil and filter is replaced every 10,000 miles as
well. The suspension, the rack and pinion boots,
inner rods, outer rods and bolt joint were
replaced when the car was bought. The starter,
alternator and water pump were replaced no too
long ago. The A/C compressor was replaced also
and is working well. . All power windows, radio
and light are in good working condition; the
headlights sealed beam both were upgraded to
Hella Headlights. The body, interior and paint
is in good conditions, some small dents that are
commonly seen of vehicle of this age but overall
the body is in great shape. The interior is in
excellent condition including the dash without
cracks, very clean. Tires have a lot of tread; I
would say 75-80 % of tread is left on the tires.
The rims are in good shape also, they were paint
color gold recently due to the silver OEM color
was not looking good. BTW they look very good,
some normal wear and tear on the wheel itself.
Functionality, everything to my knowledge work
except the cruise control, the speed sensor was
replaced because we tough that was the problem
but it did not. The sunroof work but is kind of
slow when opening and closing, maybe some
lubrication issue or else. Who ever buy this car
will get a bunch of spare parts that I have.
This vehicle is truly a rare beauty that I wish I
could keep but I am going to be transferred to
Europe sometime next year and I am only allow to
take two vehicles on my transportation agreement.
