You're in Vancouver, home of ALTROM, my supplier for clutch master and slave cylinders. It is recommended to replace both. You can buy from them through UAPNAPA if that's easier.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] Sudden Clutch hydraulic leak - slave cyl? - 84 505GL
Hello,
Yesterday morning all was fine with my 505, then in the afternoon when I go
to start the car the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor, the brake
fluid reservoir is low, and there's a puddle under the car.
It seems weird that the leak happened all of a sudden, but conveniently it
is in the garage where I can get at it.
I am about to go down and have a look - suspect blown seals in the slave
cylinder, or maybe something with the fork (did a search and I have seen a
few posts about both).
Has anyone had luck finding a cross-reference for the seals, as a backup in
case the local FLAPS doesn't have a slave cylinder rebuild kit for an '84
505?
More to come... I will post what I find and what the solution was
thanks
