You must remove the whole extension (3 bolts) on the right side of the diff which has the speedo dr in it

  Hey guys,

So I got the clutch out of my free Mi16 today. I took the advice I got   when I asked about it, but it was still pretty tough. I don't have a   lift, so I had to support the engine under the oil pan with a floor   jack. I removed the entire lower mount from the engine block, as well   as the 4 nuts from the passenger side mount so the engine could move   down. I also removed the exhaust pipe at the header. I got the   transmission off, but I had trouble with the stud (the one that   attaches to the driver's side mount) on the top of the transmission   hitting the body, and the speedo drive hitting the subframe. Is it   easier to take the speedo drive off? Any advice for an easier install?

The clutch was smoked in a big way, and the flywheel is super cracked   all over the friction surface. Does anyone have a good used flywheel   or know of where I can get a new one?

I also found that the outer passenger side CV joint boot is cracked.   Is it easy for the average home mechanic to change? I'm not sure how   one would get the smaller part of the boot streched over the end of   the shaft.

  Thanks for reading!!!
