July 07-25-05 - A Tree fell on my 505 7-20-05 - Many of the parts have been dropped off at the machine shop. Cylinder block will be honed, head will get a full valve job, and the bottom end a full balance. Near future updates will include pictures of the work i have done to the head ports, exhaust manifold/log and turbo exhaust housing. June 06-29-05 - Peugeot forum setup 6-10-05 - Peugeot-L Mailing list archive re-formatted 6-10-05 - Links Database added 6-09-05 - 505 Nissan SR20DET engine swap pictures added 6-08-05 - 505 Race car pictures added May 5-09-05 - Intake Manifold Porting 5-09-05 - Rebuild part 2 - Block pulled, pistons cracked 5-02-05 - it's been a while since an update on the rebuild. The block has been pulled and inspected to find 2 cracked pistons. They were cracked in ring land between the compression rings. Minor cracks... but obviously no piston crack is 'really' minor now is it. One had seized up the ring which was causing problems. I have yet to get machine work done. I'm trying to gather the rare n9t parts/gaskets to at least do a relatively decent rebuild job. I will hone the cylinders asap and source a couple more pistons. In the meantime i've been doing some cleanup, as well as some porting on the manifolds and soon on the head. Updates and pictures will follow shortly.
