Paul,
My '92 405 has the Valeo glass headlights with the sharp cut off and all that. I am not so discerning, and didn't get anything hi tech, just a little better. My goal was to get something like the Valeo euro lights in the 505, which are the best of their type I have ever seen. The 405s are almost as good, certainly impressively better than the oem plaz-tic guys. I have not had a voltage problems or the like with the halogen bulbs. Could you hot wire them directly to the battery to see if the bulbs get brighter with the direct connection?
